THE much discussed and never seen Yiewsley Medical Centre could soon be coming to the town.
For over 12 years, health chiefs have sought to centralise services, and many meetings and war of words have been said on the matter, with no end product.
Now it has emerged a decision may be imminent.
At a meeting in West Drayton yesterday, Kevin Mullins, director of commissioning at Hillingdon PCT said he was hoping to make an announcement within days.
It is believed that when a contract and location is agreed, the centre could even be up and running within 18 months.
THE last chance to have your say on the future of Yiewsley Health Centre will take place on Thursday November 20.
It is the second of two public consultations which will help to shape the future of the centre after the first was held on Tuesday November 18.
The public meeting will take place between 6pm and 7pm in the Main Church Hall at Yiewsley Methodist Church, Fairfield Road, Yiewsley.
Senior Directors from Hillingdon PCT will attend both meetings and answer questions from the public.
