Huan Van Pham, 23, was chased by police out of his back garden, through an alleyway, after officers raided a house in Otterfield Road.

Eventually he was caught in Tesco's car park in Otterfield Road, by PC Wes Green.

Over 400 plants were found at the address, with virtually every room, including the attic, being used, to grow the drug, which totalled a street value of £100,000.

Sergeant Kevan Baylie of Yiewsley Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: "Early intervention by police has prevented this drug from making its way onto our streets. This is a prime example of the local community working alongside the local police in an effort to combat crime in our neighbourhoods.

"We are here to improve the quality of life of the local communities and these sort of activities will not be tolerated."

Pham pleaded guilty was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison after appearing at court on Saturday.
