The Green resident stars in Council film
A FILM has recently been produced by Hillingdon Council showcasing the lives of people across the borough.
One of the stars was Cherry Deol, of Green Lane, Yiewsley...
Cherry, 42, is a devoted mother to three children, and moved to the borough 10 years ago.
A worker at Heathrow Airport, she came to Hillingdon for the convenience of her job, and has not looked back.
Married to husband Mintu, 40, she is a regular visitor to Barra Hall Children's Centre, in Wood End Green Road, Hayes.
"I use the facilities there every week, going to mother and toddler classes."
Cherry is mother to four year old Uday, and 11 month old twins Samar and Esar.
"They do arts and crafts at the centre, they do painting, with beads and paper, it is very good for little babies.
"I also take them to fun and play, in the summer they have a bouncy castle and a baby zone too.
"If I did not have something to do I would go mad with three kids running round the house, it would be boring for them too.
"In Winter you can't just take them down the park, it is really good to be able to take them somewhere that stimulates them."
The trips to the children's centre have not only been positive for her children, but her too.
"The kids have made friends, and I have too, loads, people really love it, we are all in the same boat."
Barra Hall is not the only place where Cherry goes with her children.
"I also take them to 'story time' in Yeading, and toddler groups at Hayes Methodist Church, there is something to do all the time.
"The children's centre is always celebrating, whether it be Easter, Diwali, or Halloween, you name it, which is really nice.
"They even made it open for much of the snowy weather."
A recent MORI poll for Hillingdon Council residents showed that 74 per cent of respondents were happy with children's services across the borough.
