China lo res DSC_0375.jpgSTAFF from Stockley Academy made an express trip to China as part of a link up with a school in Shanghai.

As part of the exciting partnership, 10 lucky students from the Academy in Park View Road, Yiewsley will get to visit China in June.

The Academy has been collaborating with Ganquan Middle School, since last year when they produced art together for the World Thames Festival.

This was the first of many planned projects, including the celebration of the Chinese New Year, Dragon Boat racing, pen pals, and video conferencing classes.

Principal Ian Storey recently made the trip to Shanghai, along with head of art, Ms Masani, and Governor Dr Eric Blaire.

Mr Storey said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to explore another culture, gain educational experiences and share ideas in science and technology.

"Shanghai is an amazing city and is developing rapidly- the engineering used in the construction of the financial district will be of tremendous interest to Stockley Academy students."

We'd like to hear from you.
