A SUPERSTORE has lodged an application to build two new doors to improve its accessibility.

Tesco's in Fairfield Road, Yiewsley, is hoping to make the store more accessible to the public by building two side doors to the store.

The application is currently under consideration by Hillingdon Council who will make a decision whether to approve it.

Funeral of popular vagrant

THE funeral of a well-known homeless man took place on Friday bringing traffic to a standstill.

Frederick Todd, who died aged just 59, was a regular sight outside Tesco's in Fairfield Road, Yiewsley, and only had one eye.

He passed away from illness in hospital earlier this month, and his family decided to pull out all the stops for his funeral.

A big procession took place from Royal Lane in Hillingdon, to St Martin's Church, in Church Road, West Drayton, where the funeral took place.

Richard Hawks, a christian aid worker who spent time with Freddie, said: "He was well known and had lots of relatives.

"He ended up on the streets because of his drinking, he was very well known in Yiewsley."
